What We Do

TC GOOD Consulting, LLC offers specialized services and components related to wire and wire products used in bridges and structures. Also included are inspection and construction services in this field. Dehumidification Services are also offered.

TC GOOD Consulting “Bridge Wire Splicing System” for high tensile bridge wire repair in suspension bridge main cables have become the industry standard. Using proprietary Talugrip swaged ferrules (for which we have exclusivity), we can supply wire repair units (including lengths of bridge wire) and tooling for field application. Additionally, we offer on-site field training for the contractor's personnel to complete these repairs.

Re-anchoring of main cables of suspension bridges. We have developed the methodology and practical methods for applying anchor sockets in place during rehabilitation work. This includes both Zinc and Resin mediums for the attachments. We have successfully completed several major projects with these methods.

Dehumidification and Servicing of Systems for suspension bridge main cables and anchorages. Offering Design, Instillation Assistance and System Maintenance.

Over the years, Joel A. Good and Terrence Good have been involved with the vast majority of the suspended structures within the United States and many others overseas.

Terrence "Terry" Good

Terry started working for his father’s firm in 1986. Quickly becoming the field technician, he developed the skills required to instruct the ironworkers in rehabilitation procedures necessary for repairs. Continuing in this work, he has developed close associations with suppliers and manufactures of unique products and services applied to bridge rehabilitation and maintenance. Forming his own consulting firm in 2003 and restructuring it in 2009, he has expanded the scope of services and products to better fit the needs of his clients.

Joel A. Good

Starting as a Management Trainee for U.S. Steel’s Wire Rope Division as a mill shop foreman after collage and progressing to the position of Manager of Structural and Engineered Wire Products developed a concise knowledge of these products and their usage. After U.S. Steel, Mr. Good joined British Ropes Ltd. as their Manager of Bridges and Structures in North America. Formed J. A. Good Consultants in 1986, related to suspension bridge rehabilitation and wire rope usage in structures. Joining his son Terry with the continuation as TC GOOD Consulting, Technical Director, provides his extensive knowledge and experience in all phases of work.
